Investment Banking Modeling Analyst

Role overview

This contract role is for an Investment Banking Modeling Analyst working remotely for 10 to 40 hours per week. The compensation is set at $100 to $200 per hour. The position focuses on transforming complex mergers and acquisitions and investment banking workflows into polished, structured outputs that can be used in finance and AI-related work.

Key responsibilities

• Convert intricate M&A and investment banking processes into organized, high-quality deliverables.
• Construct, assess, and annotate advanced financial models such as LBO, M&A, three-statement, and valuation models.
• Create investor-ready materials, including investment committee memos, CIM sections, and diligence reports.
• Review AI-produced financial content and improve it for accuracy and analytical strength.
• Prepare structured datasets that can be used to train finance-specific AI systems.
• Work with product and engineering teams to ensure structured outputs reflect real transaction dynamics.
• Keep written and verbal communication clear, precise, and professional across all assignments.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, transaction advisory, corporate development, or a similar area.
• Hands-on exposure to live deals, including execution, diligence, and advanced financial modeling.
• Strong command of valuation techniques such as DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, and LBO analysis.
• Ability to produce clean, investor-facing financial analysis and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Good organization and the ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous setup.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US, UK, or Canada.
