Role Overview

The International School Principal position is a full-time on-location role responsible for providing strategic and instructional leadership for the school. The principal will ensure outstanding teaching and learning quality across all grades, with particular emphasis on middle school education.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of the curriculum and instructional programs.
• Supervise and mentor teaching staff, fostering their professional growth.
• Manage daily school operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all academic and extracurricular activities.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and culturally sensitive learning atmosphere.
• Coordinate academic programs and school events.
• Communicate regularly with students, staff, families, and external stakeholders.
• Lead initiatives for ongoing school improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Represent the school within the wider community and educational networks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess strong educational leadership capabilities including experience managing school operations and academic teams.
• Demonstrated proficiency in curriculum design and instructional planning suited for diverse international student bodies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience of 3 to 5 years in middle school education or equivalent grades within international or multicultural educational settings.
• Academic qualifications such as a bachelor's or master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or closely related disciplines.
• Ability to nurture an inclusive, secure, and equitable learning environment promoting student success and welfare.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills capable of balancing multiple responsibilities.
• Knowledge of international education standards, accreditation procedures, and awareness of Ghana's educational regulations are advantageous.

Compensation

The salary for this position is $3000 per month.
