International Relationship Manager

Role Summary

The Institut der Wirtschaftsprüfer (IDW) is seeking a full-time International Relationship Manager to enhance its assurance standards department and lead international engagement efforts. This role involves interacting with global stakeholders, supporting technical discussions, and acting as a liaison between international counterparts and the German audit profession.

Responsibilities

• Assist IDW delegates by preparing for and attending international meetings and conferences.
• Collaborate with other departments and senior leadership on global matters.
• Translate and interpret technical documents between German and English, and finalize English correspondence on various technical and political topics.
• Create presentations, briefing documents, and reports for both international and internal audiences.
• Track changes and developments in international standards and related regulations.
• Coordinate activities between international entities and IDW representatives.
• Offer support on technical accounting, sustainability, audit, and assurance questions as necessary.

Candidate Profile

• Native-level English speaker with strong written and oral skills.
• Holds a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, CA, CPA), preferably from an English-speaking country.
• At least three years of post-qualification experience in auditing or relevant industry roles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable in digital workplaces.
• Proficient in German at B2 level or above, capable of engaging in professional discussions fluently.
• Keen eye for detail and quality-focused approach.
• Diplomatic communicator with confidence.
• Interest and aptitude for technical accounting and assurance issues.
• Open and approachable personality.
