About the Role
The Culture Academy of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth in Singapore dedicates itself to cultivating future cultural leadership within the public sector. It offers a range of programmes to enhance leadership skills and facilitate in-depth research across various sectors, setting a path to become a prominent regional knowledge and excellence hub in cultural policy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in designing, developing, and executing training initiatives including needs analysis, course development, selecting learning techniques, delivery, evaluating outcomes, and suggesting refinements.
- Handle administrative aspects like coordinating participants and resource persons, arranging learning journeys and overseas visits, managing programme fees, procurement, and financial processes.
- Conduct research and develop educational journeys at historic Singapore districts integrating multi-agency perspectives on urban planning, heritage preservation, and cultural policies.
- Study arts and culture ecosystems of various locations to analyze governance, funding, policy frameworks, and stakeholder engagement in the cultural sector.
- Support talent development programs by researching best practices, aiding mentorship program design, and contributing to leadership initiatives for arts and culture.
- Assist in stakeholder relationship efforts by supporting organisation-wide projects like partnership accounts and cultural policy networks.
- Help coordinate cultural exchange events and partnership conferences locally and internationally, including event documentation, feedback collection, and onsite assistance.
- Contribute to content gathering and coordination for the division's new website development, ensuring accurate communication among teams.
- Utilize technology tools such as SharePoint, AI, and Robotic Process Automation to improve knowledge management and workflows.
Candidate Profile
- Outgoing, self-motivated, inquisitive, and collaborative with excellent communication, organisational, and administrative capabilities complemented by a sharp eye for detail and strong accountability.
- Well-versed in MS Office and eager to explore technology and innovative applications.
- Passion for learning and development and interest in the cultural sector is an advantage.
Additional Information
Interns can commit on a part-time or full-time basis for up to three months from August 2026 to May 2027. Applicants should submit their resume and clearly state their availability period.
