About the Role

We are searching for a skilled Integrations Engineer to oversee and execute third-party integrations within the point-of-sale (POS) terminal environment. This position entails strategizing integration approaches, guiding technical design and implementation efforts, and maintaining strict adherence to payment industry standards. Collaboration with vendors, product teams, and quality assurance personnel will ensure smooth and secure integration experiences that improve client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Establish and uphold a clear integration strategy and roadmap for third-party solutions within the payment terminal ecosystem.
• Manage the entire integration process from conception through development, testing, certification, and deployment.
• Work alongside product, engineering, and business units to uncover integration opportunities that boost product functionality and client usability.
• Guarantee compliance with payment industry guidelines such as EMV and PCI DSS during the integration planning and execution phases.
• Lead the technical design process, including API and SDK integration as well as certification activities.
• Advocate for quality, security, and regulatory adherence across all integrations.
• Continuously seek to improve integration workflows and reduce the time required to deliver solutions.
• Remain informed about the latest trends and innovations in payment technology and terminal design.
• Negotiate project timelines, deliverables, and service level agreements with external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five to eight years of experience with payment systems, point-of-sale terminals, or payment application development.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing API Gateway solutions.
• Experience creating OpenAPI specifications and technical documentation using tools like Swagger or equivalent.
• Hands-on development of RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Understanding of best practices concerning API security, scalability, and performance enhancement.
• Proficiency in Java programming for backend API development and system integration.
