Role Summary

The Instructional Designer is integral to creating and delivering superior educational experiences that enable customers to confidently and proficiently utilize InEight's construction management software. Operating within a high-achieving Education and Training team and reporting to the Director of Education and Training, the Instructional Designer collaborates with subject matter experts, product teams, and other stakeholders to design content aligned with both customer needs and corporate objectives. While this position is fully remote, it is preferable for candidates to reside in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time Zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts from Project Delivery and Product Development teams to gather requirements, comprehend product functions, and support training content design and production.
  • Define primary learning objectives tailored for various training formats and audiences.
  • Lead the creation, refinement, and assessment of software training materials across different modules and user roles.
  • Write, edit, and format training scripts, storyboards, facilitator guides, quick reference guides, tutorials, and in-app assistance using tools like MS Word, PowerPoint, WalkMe, and Madcap Flare.
  • Design interactive eLearning experiences that include simulations and assessments utilizing Articulate RISE and Storyline.
  • Produce and edit instructional videos employing Camtasia and Wistia.
  • Collaborate with the global Education team to maintain and publish content on the Learning Management System and Knowledge Library.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analyses and contribute to the review of instructional design standards when necessary.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience in instructional design and training development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop customer learning content that simplifies complex software usage.
  • Intermediate-level video production skills, preferably with Camtasia.
  • Proficiency in creating eLearning content with Articulate 360 tools.
  • Excellent technical writing and visual design capabilities, with keen attention to detail.
