Job Overview
The HVAC/CRAC Technician position involves working in a dynamic environment, requiring in-depth knowledge of facility operations and equipment such as chillers, air conditioning, ventilation, and structural repairs. The role demands supervising, troubleshooting, and restoring facility systems and equipment operations, as well as managing preventive maintenance and work orders. Daily field supervision and assistance to craftsmen in their tasks are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain effective customer relations to support company and client representatives.
- Respond promptly to after-hours calls and work demands.
- Adhere to company policies and support organizational procedures.
- Meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds as per OSHA standards.
- Hold and safely operate company vehicles, requiring a valid driver's license.
Education and Experience
- Possess a High School diploma or GED.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, especially Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) Systems.
- Hold a Journeyman HVAC classification with a valid CFC Universal License or Certification.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing Computer Room Air Conditioning Systems.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and follow-up.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- A customer-oriented mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of safety regulations, environmental policies, and best practices.
Additional Requirements
- Valid U.S. Driver's License is mandatory.
- Possession of a valid U.S. Passport is preferred.
- Must fulfill all United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Deployment Policy requirements.
- Capability to obtain and maintain residency visa for Qatar.
- Preparedness to work in extreme environmental conditions such as dust and high heat.
- Capacity to endure extended hours, weather exposure, and hazardous conditions.
Other Important Information
- Travel requirement is 100% to deployed locations.
- Must have and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance.
