About the Role
Our client, a prominent company with a large corporate workforce, is looking for an HR Records Specialist to become part of a 13-member team. This team supports both associates and leaders by managing employee and contractor transitions such as onboarding, terminations, rehire checks, and employment verifications. Candidates without prior HR experience can benefit from significant hands-on exposure to HR operations and leadership interactions.
Responsibilities
- Perform research related to HR records and provide necessary information to associates and leaders, including compiling details for unemployment insurance claims.
- Oversee and relay state-specific HR policies to employees and management.
- Input and update information within PeopleSoft and manage DocuSign administration.
- Clearly communicate HR policies and procedures, including instructions for transferring employees between teams or supervisors.
Requirements
- Completion of high school or GED equivalent.
- Capable of adapting quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic work setting.
- Strong written communication abilities, as most correspondence is conducted via email.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex situations.
- Ability to work well with others collaboratively.
- Exceptional attention to detail, crucial due to regulatory scrutiny and coordination with legal departments.
- A self-motivated individual who independently manages workload and proactively communicates availability for additional tasks.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel for managing spreadsheet-based trackers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in human resources is highly desirable.
- Experience working with PeopleSoft software is an advantage.
