Job Overview
Green Key Resources is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead the HR function, combining strategic leadership duties with operational responsibilities. This role will focus approximately 80% on HR leadership and daily operations and 20% on supervising Talent Acquisition activities.
Work Location and Hours
The position requires presence on-site in Midtown Manhattan 3 to 4 days per week, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and management on employee relations, workforce planning, organizational policies, and performance management issues.
- Oversee HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, benefits and leave administration, maintaining employee records, and ensuring process consistency.
- Handle employee relations, managing investigations, coaching, documentation, and implementing disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure uniform and compliant application of HR policies throughout the organization.
- Collaborate on workforce planning, enhancing retention, organizational design, compensation strategies, and employee engagement efforts.
- Supervise Talent Acquisition efforts, managing recruiting priorities, enforcing process discipline, monitoring recruiter accountability, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Work closely with hiring managers and recruiters to refine job descriptions, track recruitment pipelines, and address hiring obstacles.
- Support ongoing performance management, benefits management, and compliance with HR regulations including considerations for multiple state jurisdictions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams.
Qualifications
- Between 5 to over 10 years of progressive experience in HR roles such as HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Director.
- Extensive understanding of employee relations, employment laws, compliance principles, and benefits and leave administration.
- Proven ability to advise senior management and manage sensitive HR issues discreetly and effectively.
- Experience working with multi-state or multi-location workforces is highly preferred.
- Background in managing or closely partnering with Talent Acquisition teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HR information systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Possession of industry certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent qualifications is preferred.
Compensation
The role offers a salary range from $120,000 to $150,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities.
Additional Information
The Human Resources Director will primarily work onsite, requiring commuting to Manhattan multiple days per week, ensuring close proximity to leadership and staff.
