Role Overview
We are seeking an HR Specialist to oversee various stages of the employee lifecycle with emphasis on administrative duties, regulatory compliance, and candidate management.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle onboarding paperwork, run background and drug screenings, and keep accurate HR records using ADP software.
- Act as the main liaison for new hires from job offer acceptance through orientation processes.
- Coordinate testing procedures with external providers while safeguarding confidentiality of screening outcomes and monitor compliance metrics.
- Ensure HR data accuracy and maintain documentation in alignment with legal requirements through regular audits.
- Assist in drafting reports, creating job descriptions, and posting job openings.
- Perform initial telephone screenings, arrange interviews, and collect hiring team feedback.
- Support communications related to HR, employee benefits, policies, and inquiries.
- Participate in workplace safety, quality assurance, and team engagement activities to foster a compliant and positive environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, with 1-3 years of experience in HR support preferred.
- Familiarity with ADP or other HR information systems, Microsoft Office applications, and managing sensitive information responsibly.
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and capable of assisting manufacturing operations as required.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, prior exposure to manufacturing or defense sectors, and knowledge of I-9 and E-Verify processes.
Physical and Other Requirements
- Capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds and perform duties in a manufacturing setting while wearing personal protective equipment.
- Work involves periods of sitting, standing, walking, and bending with minimal travel obligations.
