Role Purpose and Context
Currently a small team of four, BG Solar aims to evolve Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar into a Green City. This ambitious growth requires an HR leader who not only manages administration but actively shapes culture and aligns the team with the company’s vision. Reporting directly to the founder, this full-time position involves multiple responsibilities including HR, process design, culture building, and brand development, along with conducting field visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Purpose-Driven Recruitment: Conduct hiring focused on cultural and mission alignment alongside technical skills utilizing structured interviews emphasizing candidates' real experiences.
- Effective Onboarding and Training: Implement Toyota’s Job Instruction Training method to break roles into critical steps, demonstrate tasks, supervise practice, and provide ongoing coaching, ensuring new hires internalize the company’s core values and trust culture.
- Standardizing Cross-Functional Processes: Create and maintain documented procedures for all functions such as installation, sales, customer service, and administration, monitoring adherence and addressing inconsistencies.
- Fostering a Lean Office Culture: Identify and minimize inefficiencies including waste of resources and underutilized creativity by encouraging continuous small improvements and organized practices inspired by lean principles.
- Driving Brand and Culture Initiatives: Act as a culture ambassador actively collaborating with leadership to nurture the company’s mission and cultivate a cohesive team environment.
Qualifications and Skills Needed
- Proven willingness to lead and develop others beyond holding a title.
- Basic knowledge or aptitude to learn solar installation processes, technician workflows, and compliance standards.
- Strong understanding of company policies and awareness of HR’s impacts organization-wide.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement, seeking practical enhancements regularly.
- Leadership skills capable of translating founder objectives into clear, actionable tasks for the team.
- Ability to effectively teach and transfer knowledge to others.
- A degree in any field (preference for HR or business administration) and familiarity with tools like Excel and WhatsApp Business.
- Local residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and ownership of a two-wheeler for travel to job sites.
- Genuine commitment to clean energy and community welfare aligning with the company’s mission.
