Role Overview

This position is for a Housekeeper based in Franschhoek, Western Cape, South Africa, within a luxury hospitality environment. The role is focused on maintaining outstanding room and guest-area standards while helping create a smooth, memorable stay for hotel guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep guest rooms and shared hotel spaces clean, tidy, and well presented.
• Carry out turndown duties and general housekeeping tasks that support a seamless guest experience.
• Work to surpass guest expectations throughout the stay, from check-in to departure.
• Make sure special guest requests and requirements are communicated accurately and handled by the relevant departments.
• Provide consistently high-quality service in all interactions.
• Use initiative and creative thinking to enhance the guest experience.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and help maintain a safe work environment.

Experience and Skills

The role calls for at least 2 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or a comparable setting. Strong knowledge of cleaning supplies, techniques, and housekeeping methods is required, along with excellent punctuality, the ability to work to standard operating procedures, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to stay composed and professional in a busy environment. A polished personal presentation and high standards of integrity are also essential.
