Role overview
This position is for an HMC operator and setter in a production environment within the aluminum casting manufacturing sector. The role is based at SUPA, Ahmednagar and Chakan, Pune, and focuses on machine operation, setting, and production support.
Key responsibilities
- Run production machines according to manufacturing needs and the daily plan.
- Set up and operate HMC and 5-axis machines as per the production schedule.
- Handle both batch production and tool room production work.
- Work on MAZAK, DMG, Dori HMC, and Juaristi HMC machines.
- Operate machines using Fanuc and Siemens controllers.
- Support daily production planning and execution.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and follow 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Train existing team members when required.
- Carry out CNC programming for HMC, VMC, and CNC turning machines.
- Perform prove-outs for new product machining and NPD parts.
- Select appropriate tools and complete machine/tool setting.
- Use G-code and M-code knowledge for machining operations.
- Contribute to mass production activities with a cycle time of around 30 minutes.
