Head of Operations

About the Role

The Social Slate is seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Operations to guide and oversee all operational activities within the organization. This senior leadership position involves developing and implementing operational strategies that align with company objectives and growth targets, enhancing business processes, and driving overall operational performance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute comprehensive operational strategies consistent with the company's vision and expansion plans.
• Manage daily business functions to maximize efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
• Design and continuously refine workflows, operational procedures, and performance benchmarks.
• Track key performance indicators and operational metrics to inform leadership decisions.
• Lead initiatives aimed at operational excellence, process automation, cost-reduction, and optimization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between operational activities, business objectives, and client expectations.
• Oversee resource management including workforce planning, budgeting, and forecasting to optimize utilization.
• Identify risks within operations and implement proactive measures for business continuity.
• Drive organizational change, transformation programs, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, quality protocols, and operational controls.
• Mentor and develop managerial staff and teams to foster accountability and high performance culture.
• Support strategic business planning and expansion opportunities.
• Prepare detailed operational reports and performance summaries for senior executives and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in operations leadership, business or supply chain management, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in operational strategy formulation, process enhancement, and performance oversight.
• Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and manage complex operational activities.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, and sound decision-making skills.
• Outstanding leadership qualities including communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, resource management, and performance evaluation.
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems, data analytics, and operational reporting tools.
• Ability to excel in dynamic, fast-growth environments with a strong commercial mindset.
• Preferred educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar; an MBA or relevant leadership credentials are a plus.
