Head of Operations

About the Role

We are looking to appoint a seasoned and strategic Head of Operations to steer and manage the organizational operational activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting and executing operational strategies that align with the company’s vision and growth objectives while promoting efficiency and excellence across all business functions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement operational strategies in harmony with the company's vision and expansion plans.
• Supervise daily business operations to maximize efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
• Design and continually enhance operational workflows, processes, and performance benchmarks.
• Track operational metrics and KPIs, presenting insights and strategic recommendations to top management.
• Lead initiatives focusing on operational excellence, including process optimization, automation, and cost management.
• Collaborate with departmental heads to align operational efforts with business goals and customer needs.
• Oversee resource allocation, staffing, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Identify risks to operations and deploy mitigation plans to maintain continuity.
• Drive change management and organizational improvements to foster continuous progress.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, quality benchmarks, and control procedures.
• Mentor and develop management personnel and operational teams, instilling accountability and high performance.
• Contribute to strategic planning, expansion strategies, and seize new business opportunities.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, operational reviews, and performance updates for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrable experience in operations management, business leadership, supply chain, logistics, or similar senior roles.
• In-depth knowledge of operational strategies, process enhancement, and organizational performance metrics.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and management of extensive operational activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and managing performance outcomes.
• Familiarity with business systems such as ERP platforms, data analytics, and operational reporting tools.
• Ability to excel in a fast-moving, evolving, and growth-driven environment.
• Robust commercial insight and strategic business understanding.
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degrees such as an MBA or other leadership certifications are advantageous.
