What This Role Involves
As the Head of Engagement & Performance, you will serve as the strategic liaison between DBT and the wider Gallagher organization. You'll ensure the technology strategy is clearly communicated, performance metrics are transparent, and stakeholder engagement is continuous. Reporting directly to the CIO and part of the DBT leadership team, you will lead executive reporting, business engagement, and establish frameworks that underpin strategic planning and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Forge and maintain trusted partnerships with senior leadership to align DBT efforts with business goals
- Communicate DBT strategy, initiatives, and results using effective executive-level messaging
- Create and refine performance measurement tools such as scorecards and reports to highlight business impact
- Work alongside the CIO to guide strategic planning, leadership meetings, and governance processes
- Gather and analyze stakeholder feedback to foster continuous functional improvement
- Manage strategic vendor relationships, commercial activities, and governance collaboratively with Procurement
- Lead and nurture a skilled Engagement & Performance team dedicated to service excellence and collaborative partnership
- Promote a culture integrated with transparency, accountability, and cooperation within the DBT department
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a natural relationship builder capable of uniting executives, technology heads, and business units. You can demystify complex subjects, create consensus, and maintain momentum on shared objectives. You excel through influence rather than formal authority and possess commercial insight along with persuasive communication capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive background in business relationship management, strategic engagement, or senior advisory roles within technology or digital domains
- Proven track record supporting executive leadership with planning, governance, and strategic decisions
- Skill in designing and implementing performance evaluation frameworks and top-level organizational reporting
- Strong commercial awareness with hands-on experience in vendor management and contract oversight
- Demonstrated ability to influence multiple stakeholders effectively without direct managerial control
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills tailored to translating complex data into engaging business stories
- A collaborative leadership approach with enthusiasm for developing high-performing teams and fostering trusted partnerships
