Role Summary

The Head of Early Career Recruiting leads and expands Notion's strategy to attract, hire, and develop early career talent across the organization. This role involves overseeing the entire early career talent acquisition cycle, including internships, new graduate hiring, and early-in-career recruitment, while implementing AI-driven tools and data analytics to optimize recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy for early career hiring, including internships and pipelines across departments and locations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of early career recruiters to consistently meet high performance and quality standards.
  • Advise business leaders with insights on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent acquisition strategies for emerging professionals.
  • Incorporate AI technologies and automation to enhance recruitment sourcing, assessment, and closing processes.
  • Design and continually refine hiring programs, processes, and infrastructures ensuring efficiency without compromising candidate quality.
  • Define and monitor relevant recruitment metrics like conversion rates, quality of hires, source diversity, and time to offer to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with brand and storytelling teams to strengthen Notion's employer reputation within early talent communities.
  • Engage with internal ambassador programs to foster connections and advocacy among early career candidates and employees.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years in recruitment leadership with a focus on early career hiring, including university recruiting and internship program management.
  • Innovative approach to attracting and evaluating emerging talent with a commitment to continuous evolution based on market trends.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling high-impact early career recruitment teams and programs in dynamic environments.
  • Strong strategic mindset combined with operational excellence, capable of managing from high-level talent strategies to detailed recruiting seasons.
  • Data-driven with demonstrated ability to leverage analytics for recruitment performance and ROI improvements.
  • Trusted advisor to senior leadership with expertise in early career compensation, talent market dynamics, and effective partnership models.
  • Proficiency and enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools to transform recruitment workflows and outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation and recruitment trends across various educational and training institutions and communities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in program management or talent development involving structured early career programs like rotations and mentorship.
  • History of advancing AI adoption within recruiting to enhance capability beyond basic tool usage.
  • Successful design and implementation of diversity hiring initiatives targeting underrepresented groups and institutions.
  • Established network within university recruiting and early career talent landscapes.

Compensation and Location

The role offers competitive cash salary, equity options, and comprehensive benefits. For candidates based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base annual salary ranges between $225,000 and $275,000. This position requires onsite presence in San Francisco with in-person collaboration on designated anchor days (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays).
