Head of Delivery

About the Role

As the Head of Delivery at Global Dairy Trade, you will oversee the comprehensive execution of the organisation's technology projects. This position requires balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to ensure that work packages are prioritised, scheduled, governed, and executed consistently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technology initiatives across the portfolio adhering to defined quality, timelines, and risk standards.
• Implement and maintain governance systems, reporting frameworks, and execution methodologies that ensure transparency and reliable control over all delivery channels.
• Coordinate clear prioritisation and sequencing of workstreams to guarantee that high-impact projects are undertaken timely.
• Develop precise capacity planning, forecasting, and commitment management for teams and external vendors.
• Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders effectively, supporting informed decision-making at senior levels.
• Spearhead integration of deliveries among internal teams and manage vendor performance to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Establish and promote robust delivery methodologies including Agile practices, enhancing consistency and quality of outcomes.
• Proactively identify, manage, and escalate delivery risks and dependencies to mitigate impact on project goals.

Experience and Skills Required

• Over seven years of leading technology or software delivery in multifaceted, dynamic environments involving multiple teams and vendors.
• Proven expertise in managing multi-stream delivery portfolios, governance, reporting, forecasting, and risk control.
• Strong skills in planning, estimation, and capacity management within delivery settings.
• Experienced in embedding Agile methodologies to foster improved team performance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, particularly with senior leadership.

Preferred Background

• Experience in software engineering or technology delivery-focused roles.
• History of working within product or platform-based organisations.
• Familiarity with coordinating work across global teams and managing external delivery partners.
