Overview
Alpha Trading Company seeks an experienced Head of Finance and Accounts to oversee and manage the company’s financial operations. This leadership role involves directing all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insightful financial reporting to assist in strategic decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting functions including managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, and verifying journal entries, invoices, and payments.
- Monitor cash flow, handle bank reconciliations, and ensure smooth bookkeeping operations.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, along with budget development and monitoring financial forecasts.
- Analyze overall financial performance, generate management reports, and implement cost control measures to improve profitability.
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax filings, and other statutory requirements; coordinate internal and statutory audits.
- Supervise payroll processes, salary payments, and prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports along with financial dashboards for executives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and accounts team, allocate responsibilities, evaluate performance, and facilitate coordination with different departments and external partners.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Over 8 years of extensive experience in accounts and finance functions.
- Strong expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax laws, and overall financial compliance.
- Proficiency with Tally ERP software, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting programs.
- Experience of 1 to 3 years in a managerial or supervisory finance role.
