Position Overview
We are actively seeking a seasoned Group Executive Chef to oversee culinary functions spanning multiple high-end dining establishments and a central production facility in Doha, Qatar. This pivotal role demands leadership in culinary excellence, enforcing recipe uniformity, upholding food quality, managing costs, enhancing operational efficiencies, and fostering team growth across various outlets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage culinary activities across diverse restaurant brands and central kitchen operations.
- Maintain uniform standards in food quality, presentation, and recipe implementation at all venues.
- Optimize food costs, apply menu engineering techniques, and improve profitability metrics.
- Create and uphold standardized recipes alongside comprehensive kitchen SOPs.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to Head Chefs, Sous Chefs, Pastry Chefs, and kitchen staff.
- Conduct periodic culinary audits ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards.
- Lead menu planning, cost calculation, and innovation in culinary products.
- Collaborate closely with Food Safety and Operations departments to ensure adherence to HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Establish structured culinary training programs and support the development of leadership capabilities within the team.
- Facilitate business growth and franchise readiness through consistent culinary systems and detailed documentation.
Experience and Qualifications
- Extensive culinary leadership spanning 10 to 12+ years.
- At least 4 years experience as an Executive Chef or Group Executive Chef managing multiple restaurants.
- Preferably possesses robust hospitality experience within the GCC/Middle East region.
- Specialized expertise in Fine Dining Indian Cuisine is essential.
- Experience with Sri Lankan cuisine is an advantageous asset.
- Demonstrated competence in menu costing, recipe standardization, cost control, and kitchen management.
- Ability to lead diverse, multicultural kitchen teams effectively.
- Familiarity with HACCP, food safety protocols, and governance within the GCC.
- Preferably holds formal culinary certification such as City & Guilds, WACS, or equivalent.
