Overview
We are seeking an experienced Go Developer to join our client’s team remotely on a contract, part-time basis. This role involves critical involvement in assessing and training cutting-edge AI-driven coding tools currently in confidential alpha stages. It is ideal for passionate Go developers who enjoy technical innovation and want to contribute to the advancement of AI-assisted code generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement REST and GraphQL API endpoints utilizing a modern Go technology stack.
- Perform rigorous data validation, implement robust error handling, and conduct complex debugging.
- Manage database migrations and optimize system performance.
- Participate in testing alpha AI models using Cursor, engaging in multiple focused sessions spanning four days with over five hours of testing daily.
- Identify and document incidents, bugs, and edge cases thoroughly through detailed reports, annotated screenshots, and bug tracing.
- Collaborate closely with the research team via Slack to provide timely feedback and deep insights.
- Complete structured surveys evaluating overall impressions and usability of the AI models after each testing burst.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five years’ professional experience as a Golang developer.
- Strong expertise with Go language, REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend development best practices.
- Experience working with AI-powered coding tools, preferably with Cursor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for proactive coding, rapid prototyping, and continued technical learning.
- Proficient in data validation, error handling, and detailed debugging.
- Ability to meticulously document findings while maintaining confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Contributions to open-source projects with notable GitHub repositories or stars.
- Experience in technical evaluation of products or developer tool quality assurance.
- Strong interest in mentoring and sharing insights within trusted research environments.
