Role Overview
Our client, located at Dublin Airport, is seeking a Global Freight Administrator to manage and support international logistics operations across air, sea, and road transport. This role focuses on coordinating shipments and freight activities for sectors such as specialist events, trade fairs, sporting events, conferences, and live events.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee international freight distribution via air, sea, and road for global events.
- Track shipment timelines, ensure customs clearance processes are completed, and verify delivery schedules.
- Prepare, update, and maintain all necessary shipping and customs documentation accurately.
- Engage and collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse teams to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor the progress of shipments and provide regular operational feedback to various internal stakeholders.
- Maintain logistical data systems, generate reports, and keep detailed freight records.
- Assist with reconciliation of freight invoices and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to relevant international trade laws and import/export regulations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven background in freight forwarding or logistics is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of import/export documentation and customs clearance procedures.
- Familiarity with international shipping modes and logistics workflows.
- Experience working with ERP systems or transportation management software.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
