Generation Technician

Role overview

This Perth-based opportunity is with Redfield Resources and is aimed at technicians who want a long-term path in the mining and energy sectors rather than short casual or contract work. The role is positioned as a stable temp-to-perm arrangement designed for people seeking consistency, stronger financial security, and room to build a future.

The pay rate is advertised at up to $60+ per hour. The position follows a Monday to Friday roster and is located locally in Perth, Western Australia.

What you will be doing

• Carrying out maintenance and servicing on diesel generators.
• Using HV and HD diesel mechanical trade experience in day-to-day work.
• Repairing diesel engines and related mechanical components.
• Performing mechanical testing tasks as required.

Experience and qualification requirements

• Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification.
• Previous experience with generators, which will be viewed favourably.
• Background in power generation or diesel generation work.
• Strong fault-finding and repair capability.
• Valid manual Western Australian driver’s licence.
• HR licence is preferred.
• Experience in the mining or resources sector is desirable.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Capacity to pass a drug and alcohol medical at any time.
