General Operative

About the Role

Our client, a prominent food manufacturing business in Dunmanway, Co. Cork, is seeking a General Operative to contribute to their expanding operations. This role is full-time and permanent within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment, supplying major retail and foodservice customers. The workplace maintains rigorous quality standards and fosters a busy, team-oriented atmosphere.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Pay range: €14.15 to €15.50 per hour, depending on experience.
• Shift options:
• 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• 2:15 PM to 10:30 PM
• Shift flexibility may be expected based on production demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Packaging and labeling of completed products.
• Measuring and preparing ingredients for manufacturing.
• Assisting production line activities.
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in production areas.
• Handling goods and palletizing finished products.
• Providing support for warehouse and logistics tasks when necessary.
• Conducting quality inspections to meet company standards.
• Adhering to food safety and health and safety protocols.

Candidate Requirements

• Access to reliable transportation or ability to commute to Dunmanway.
• Legal entitlement to work in Ireland.
• Competent in spoken and written English.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to follow established procedures.
• Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Preferred Experience

• Background in food production or FMCG manufacturing.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or packaging industries.
• Familiarity with warehouse or logistics roles.
• Experience in retail stockroom or butchery contexts.
