General Manager

About the Role

The General Manager (GM) at TITLE Boxing Club Boston (locations including Assembly Row, Newbury St, and North Station) is responsible for spearheading all sales, fitness, and operational activities of the club. This role is pivotal in delivering an outstanding member experience, fostering a team-centric environment, and ensuring the club achieves strong financial performance. The GM's role includes comprehensive management and growth focusing on effective resource allocation, scheduling, team performance management, goal establishment, and upholding exceptional customer service aligned with brand policies as the face of the club.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly revenue goals via driving membership sign-ups and retention, sales of class packages, private training sessions, equipment, and retail products.
• Build and sustain a motivated, high-achieving team that embodies the company’s mission, vision, and values.
• Handle full employment lifecycle management including staffing, scheduling, and conducting regular performance evaluations (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• Organize and oversee ongoing employee training ensuring competence in sales, operations, fitness, and brand standards.
• Engage collaboratively with Regional Leadership and Corporate to maintain a robust sales funnel involving lead generation, visitor conversion, marketing initiatives, and membership acquisition.
• Develop and maintain a vibrant club culture focused on community-building that enhances member satisfaction and profitability.
• Supervise all club operations and member engagement activities efficiently.
• Ensure club premises remain clean, inviting, and well-maintained at all times.
• Oversee recruitment processes, employee onboarding, scheduling, and payroll management.
• Comply fully with all operational policies and federal and state employment regulations.
• Regularly monitor and exceed target metrics through daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.

Qualifications and Skills

• 3 to 5+ years experience in management involving team supervision, direction, and coaching.
• Proficiency in analyzing trend reports and strong numerical/analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
• Capability to multitask and manage customer and staff interactions across various communication channels with a friendly and accessible approach.
• A passion for fitness and boxing experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; a college degree is strongly preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is advantageous.
• Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range from $60,000 to $70,000 plus monthly performance bonuses.
