Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, plan treatments, and execute general dental procedures such as fillings, root canal therapies, extractions, and cosmetic treatments.
• Inform and guide patients on maintaining oral hygiene and preventive dental care practices.
• Collaborate effectively with dental assistants, hygienists, and other support personnel to ensure superior patient care.
• Keep meticulous patient records while complying with all New Zealand dental standards and laws.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with dental technology and practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess 1 to 4 years of experience as a general dentist.
• Demonstrate adaptability and a spirit of adventure, with a readiness for occasional last-minute changes.
• Obtain New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) registration.
• Secure a working holiday visa to practice in New Zealand.
• Acquire professional indemnity insurance along with travel or private health insurance.

Assistance and guidance through the registration and visa process will be provided. Opportunities exist for extending contracts or pursuing permanent residency if you choose to remain in New Zealand longer.

Additional Benefits and Terms

• A 12-month employment contract with a 38-hour workweek.
• Competitive annual base salary of NZ$130,000.
• Potential to work in 2 to 4 different locations across New Zealand for durations of 3 to 6 months each, with support to tailor your itinerary to explore the country.
