Currently, in partnership with a Berlin-based client, we are tasked with modernizing their financial reporting dashboards, emphasizing accuracy and clarity in data presentation.

About the Role

As a Frontend Developer Intern, you will contribute to creating user-friendly web interfaces that transform intricate financial data into intuitive visuals. You will improve existing cluttered financial systems by applying clean design principles to ensure clarity and usability for non-technical users. Collaborating closely with senior consultants, this fully remote, full-time position offers insight into designing large-scale data systems from the foundation up. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and style responsive web components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Evaluate current user interfaces to identify improvements that simplify data representation.
• Draft clear user documentation for the newly created dashboards to facilitate easy adoption and transition.
• Coordinate with the backend team to ensure accurate and error-free data integration.
• Engage in code reviews to learn and maintain coding standards emphasizing readability and maintainability.
• Test web components across various browsers to guarantee consistent user experience for finance teams.
• Support the upkeep of a reusable UI pattern library to ensure uniformity across client projects.

Candidate Profile

• Fundamental knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, possibly obtained from academic projects or personal study.
• Experience with React or similar libraries is advantageous, alongside a readiness to adopt our workflow and architectural conventions.
• Strong attention to detail to maintain the credibility of financial reports through precise alignment and layout.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly with colleagues from business backgrounds.
• Preference for straightforward and functional software solutions over elaborate or complex designs.
• Excellent written communication skills to produce thorough documentation as part of deliverables.
• Comfortable managing tasks independently in a 100% remote work environment.
