Position Overview
Griffin Global Asset Management is expanding its FP&A team, and the new FP&A Analyst role is created to support financial planning and analysis activities across the Griffin Group and its managed entities. Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A, the analyst will assist in scrutinizing historical, current, and projected financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain comprehensive spreadsheets and statistical financial models for analysis and corporate forecasting.
- Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and budget planning for service operations, including analyzing forecast changes and developing detailed commentaries, tables, and visual aids for senior leadership review.
- Prepare board-level reports and management presentations as needed.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports detailing revenue and profitability by each entity.
- Examine and interpret intricate data to identify significant trends and patterns.
- Work collaboratively across departments to understand financial outcomes and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
- Continuously develop and refine financial models and enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of the critical drivers affecting revenues and costs within the business.
- Perform other ad hoc assignments as assigned by the Head of FP&A.
Qualifications and Skills
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA).
- Experience in financial reporting roles, ideally with exposure to the aviation industry.
- Proficiency in advanced financial modelling alongside strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS, with a record of preparing financial statements in line with these standards.
- High attention to detail combined with strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly self-driven with a desire to contribute to business growth.
