Food & Beverage Hostess

Position Overview

We are seeking a diligent Food & Beverage Hostess to join the Autograph Collection in Doha, Qatar. The role involves providing exceptional guest service by managing reservations, organizing seating, and ensuring an inviting dining atmosphere. This position is full-time and based onsite at the Diplomatic Street location in the West Bay Area.

Core Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and manage dining reservations, recording accurate guest details into the reservation system.
• Maintain an organized waitlist while providing guests with accurate wait times.
• Use a station rotation chart to make informed seating decisions, accommodating large parties and special needs groups.
• Welcome guests upon arrival, assess their party size, and seat them at clean tables equipped with current menus and proper place settings.
• Assist guests by guiding them through the dining areas and addressing their needs to ensure a comfortable experience.
• Continuously monitor dining areas for available seating, service quality, and safety conditions.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow staff to facilitate smooth service and teamwork.
• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees, while serving as a positive role model.
• Comply with company safety and security policies, report accidents or hazards promptly, and complete mandatory safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance and confidentiality of sensitive company information.
• Welcome guests following company protocol, and use clear and polite communication.
• Engage collaboratively with colleagues to foster a positive work environment aimed at meeting shared objectives.
• Ensure all service standards and quality expectations are consistently upheld.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and handling objects up to 10 pounds as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Education: Completion of high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Experience: Minimum one year in a related customer service or food and beverage role.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required.
• Licenses/Certifications: None specified.
