About the Role

Collaborate closely with research, creation, and production teams, including a renowned perfumery school, to craft unique flavours and drive innovation impacting billions globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage development of flavour formulations in assigned categories, overseeing technical approach and supervising preparation for consistent quality and efficiency.
- Conduct detailed evaluations and sensory assessments of flavours, interpret results, and guide junior colleagues on required actions.
- Partner with senior flavourists to define tactical objectives and align technical priorities with broader business strategies.
- Enhance and optimize digital tools for documentation, reporting, and performance tracking to ensure data integrity and streamline workflow across teams.
- Act as the expert for complex flavour formulation challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Convert customer feedback and market trends into actionable flavour development plans supporting growth targets.
- Champion process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and maintain high-quality standards within flavour creation operations.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to trainees and junior flavourists to foster skill development and succession preparedness.
Educational and Professional Background
- Holds a Polytechnic diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields.
- Possesses at least 10 years of expertise as a flavourist post-completion of a Flavourist Trainee Programme or an equivalent professional development.
Technical and Professional Skills
- Advanced knowledge in flavour creation processes, sensory science, and practical application in multiple product categories.
- Experience in beverage flavour formulation is a significant advantage.
- Skilled at integrating market data, analytics, and insights into formulation strategies to boost customer outcomes.
- Proficient in digital and analytical platforms with a commitment to optimizing these tools for better project management.
- Familiarity with related disciplines such as ingredient technology, regulatory standards, and consumer insights applied in formulating comprehensive solutions.
- Expertise in driving process improvements within flavour development workflows to reduce lead times and guarantee product consistency.
- Ability to mentor team members on formulation techniques and sensory methodology, contributing actively to training programs.
