Role overview
A well-established indigenous business with international operations and strong export activity is hiring a recently qualified accountant to join its finance function as a Financial Accountant. This is a newly introduced position that will report directly to the Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of weekly and monthly management accounts.
- Compile and process monthly general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
- Keep balance sheet reconciliations current, accurate, and fully supported.
- Handle a high volume of intercompany pricing activity and related transactions.
- Check and reconcile annual long-term customer agreements.
- Support strong stock control processes for goods held under management.
- Work closely with the wider finance team to improve the effectiveness of core processes.
- Assist with internal audits and year-end audit activities.
Requirements
- Recently qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Hands-on attitude and a willingness to learn the business thoroughly.
- Strong commercial awareness and sound business judgment.
