Role Overview
This position is based at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara in Abu Dhabi. The role sits within Minor Hotels, an international hospitality group with a portfolio of more than 530 properties across 50+ countries in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe, and South America, operating brands such as Anantara, Avani, Elewana, Oaks, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow, and TIVOLI.
Key Duties
- Carry out the hotel’s security procedures consistently and ensure they are properly followed across the property.
- Oversee and manage contractors, suppliers, and vendors who work on site.
- Provide polite, professional assistance to guests, colleagues, vendors, and suppliers at all times.
- Keep the Security team and senior hotel leadership updated daily on security-related matters.
- Safeguard guest and staff areas against unauthorized entry and trespassing.
Incident and Emergency Response
- Respond to incidents and emergencies with calm, discretion, and sensitivity, especially where theft allegations or other stressful situations are involved.
- Handle all affected guests, employees, or other individuals in a respectful and professional manner so the matter is not escalated further.
- When directed by the Security Manager, conduct detailed investigations and follow-up actions for security incidents.
- Perform formal searches of employees, lockers, or work areas when instructed by hotel management, ensuring a Human Resources Executive is present as a witness.
- Maintain the presumption of innocence for anyone interviewed or searched unless evidence proves otherwise.
Training and Daily Operations
- Attend all scheduled security training sessions.
- Join daily briefings and remain on duty in the assigned area.
- Ensure the information, tools, and equipment needed for the shift are available and ready for use.
