About the Role
Join IAG, the leading general insurance company across Australia and New Zealand, dedicated to enhancing safety and accessibility to insurance for everyday people. The insurance sector is evolving rapidly with AI re-shaping customer engagement. We invite applications for the role of Executive Manager, Channel Transformation based in Auckland, New Zealand. This integral corporate position will oversee how our customers purchase, interact with, and claim insurance services across IAG New Zealand.
You will be responsible for crafting and executing channel strategies that prioritize digital as the default, while ensuring critical human support remains intact for key customer moments. This role demands a vision for future channel mixes that leverage AI technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the comprehensive channel strategy encompassing digital, assisted, and human touchpoints, defining priorities and anticipated results.
- Drive the transition to AI-enhanced, digital-first models that boost self-service usage and maximize valuable human interactions.
- Transform business strategies into actionable, multi-year roadmaps by aligning product development, technological architecture, data insights, and design teams.
- Enhance customer journeys by minimizing obstacles, increasing engagement and conversion rates, and improving operational efficiencies.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across Product, UX/UI Design, and Architecture, fostering a customer-focused high-performance culture.
- Facilitate alignment among senior enterprise stakeholders to enable cohesive transformation efforts and funding decisions.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated success in directing extensive digital or channel transformations that yield tangible customer and financial benefits, preferably within financial services.
- Proven ability to influence customer behavior shifts, promote digital platform adoption, and optimize channel distribution.
- Experience bridging business, technology, and product domains to translate strategies into execution effectively.
- Strong leadership in cultivating high-performing teams and managing change to enhance capabilities.
- Skillful in engaging and aligning senior leadership across complex organizational settings.
- Background in managing cross-functional groups including product, design, and architecture at scale.
- Pragmatic and outcome-driven leader adept at navigating uncertainty, accelerating progress, and delivering results.
- Curious and forward-looking mindset with familiarity or involvement in AI, automation, or emerging digital solutions.
