About the Company and Role
Our client is a dynamic and expanding venture capital firm based in SoHo, New York City, dedicated to funding cutting-edge startups. They seek an Executive Assistant and Office Manager to provide essential support to two Managing Partners, playing a key role in ensuring the firm's seamless daily operations and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complex, ever-changing calendars for Managing Partners, coordinating internal meetings, calls with founders, investor (LP) engagements, and travel plans.
- Act as the main point of contact for scheduling and logistical arrangements with prominent external partners and VIP guests.
- Proactively anticipate needs and prepare thoroughly for all meetings and appointments.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost professionalism and discretion.
- Support firm operations through tasks including expense management, CRM data entry, travel booking, and coordination with vendors.
- Contribute flexibly across various projects, embracing a culture where no task is too minor and everyone plays a role in the organization's success.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Between 3 and 6 years' experience as an Executive Assistant, scheduler, or operational lead, preferably supporting senior executives or public officials.
- Outstanding organizational abilities coupled with strong time-management skills, with an aptitude for handling details and meeting deadlines efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging professionally with investors, startup founders, and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a demanding small-team, office-based setting characterized by high expectations and a collaborative, low-ego culture.
- A keen interest in technology, startups, or venture capital is advantageous, though curiosity and motivation are paramount.
Terms and Working Conditions
- Position is full-time, on-site in SoHo, New York City, Monday through Friday.
- Working hours are generally 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with flexibility as required.
- Compensation ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, inclusive of potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
