Overview
Barton Peveril Sixth Form College is seeking dedicated Invigilators to support its Examinations Team. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements outlined below and possess a commitment to maintaining exam integrity following the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise examinations by monitoring candidates throughout the assessment period.
- Ensure all procedures adhere strictly to JCQ guidelines to uphold fairness and security during exams.
Timing and Availability
Invigilation duties occur on an ad hoc basis all year; however, the bulk of assignments align with main exam sessions held from November to January and April to July.
Training and Compliance
- Participate annually in briefings covering examination updates and procedural changes.
- Complete basic invigilator training and safeguarding instruction.
- Undergo employment screenings including reference checks and obtaining an enhanced DBS clearance.
