Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and commercially savvy Event Services Manager to join our team. In this senior-level position, reporting directly to the Head of Events, you will manage comprehensive event execution while supervising a team of Event Managers. You will also have full accountability for ticketing operations at the venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and onsite delivery of events ensuring exceptional audience experiences.
- Manage and develop a team of two Event Managers, overseeing workload distribution and professional growth.
- Administer ticketing operations including on-sale processes, daily sales tracking, map configuration through TM1, and post-event data reporting, in collaboration with Ticketmaster.
- Serve as the primary liaison for event promoters and hirers, maintaining strong relationships and meeting client expectations.
- Coordinate front of house activities such as security, ushering, ticketing, and managing patron flow for seamless event execution.
- Champion health and safety initiatives by contributing to safety plans, risk mitigation, and ensuring regulatory compliance covering staff, contractors, and attendees.
- Work closely with hirers to explore and maximize additional ticketing revenue opportunities by selecting suitable products aligned with each event.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience managing live events or venue operations, particularly large-scale events.
- Hands-on expertise with ticketing systems, preferably Ticketmaster or TM1, including knowledge of on-sale tactics and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and sustain team morale under pressure.
- Strong client relationship building skills, committed to exceptional service delivery to promoters and venue partners.
- Commercial insight with proficient budget, staffing, and resource management capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of health and safety standards applicable within venue operations.
- Flexible approach to working hours including nights, weekends, and public holidays and resilience in a fast-paced live entertainment environment.
