Event & Catering Assistant

Role Overview

As an Event & Catering Assistant at Fruitful Day, you will be instrumental in executing various client events by assisting with setup, guest service, and light food preparation. Operating under the Event & Catering Lead within the food and beverage team based in Dubai, you will gain practical experience throughout the entire event process, contributing positively to the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with event and catering operations, including setting up venues, preparing food and beverages, and delivering excellent guest service.
• Perform simple food preparation tasks such as making smoothies, juices, and assembling ready-to-eat menu items.
• Ensure all areas meet cleanliness and food safety standards during events.
• Collaborate closely with the Event & Catering Lead and team members in a positive, cooperative environment.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth event execution.
• Quickly report any issues encountered on-site to the Event & Catering Lead for prompt resolution.
• Assist in tracking and managing inventory and supplies for events.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Previous experience or strong eagerness to learn in event support, catering, or hospitality within food and beverage settings.
• Comfort and proficiency in practical food preparation tasks including blending drinks and assembling menu items.
• A strong orientation toward customer service with a sincere desire to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain organized and composed during high-pressure and busy event periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as required for events.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of barista or mixology techniques.
• Familiarity with food safety certifications such as BFHT.
• Understanding of current food and beverage trends, especially those focused on wellness menus.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranging from 3000 to 3500 AED.
