About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a reputable and expanding manufacturing firm specializing in supplying products to the construction industry. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, preparing accurate quotations, and collaborating effectively with customers, sales, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate detailed quotations and estimates based on customer inquiries.
• Analyze and interpret construction and technical drawings accurately.
• Perform material take-offs and relevant calculations.
• Communicate with customers to clarify or obtain necessary information.
• Coordinate closely with sales and manufacturing departments.
• Manage and prioritize multiple quotation requests concurrently.
• Enhance commercial understanding related to pricing structures, profit margins, and potential cross-selling opportunities.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Proven experience in estimating within sectors such as construction products, roofing, cladding, curtain walling, building envelope, architectural metalwork, fenestration, windows & doors, or fabrication.
• Proficiency in interpreting construction technical drawings for producing accurate quotations and take-offs.
• Strong capability in conducting take-offs and preparing detailed quotations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Good commercial insight and customer-oriented mindset.

Employment Details

• Location: Leicester office-based role.
• Salary range: £30,000 to £34,000 annually.
• Working schedule: Monday to Friday.
