Role Summary
Know How Resourcing is representing a reputable manufacturing company in Doncaster seeking to hire a permanent Estimator. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive and precise cost estimates covering labour, materials, and equipment for various projects.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of tenders aligned with client specifications and deadlines.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and related documents to fully understand client needs.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to collect market insights and negotiate favorable terms.
- Participate in client meetings, conduct site visits, and attend pre-tender interviews as necessary.
- Offer clients expert advice and support regarding cost inquiries and project feasibility.
- Develop and maintain efficient estimating processes and systems to enhance accuracy and productivity.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to ensure competitive pricing in estimates.
- Evaluate finished projects to verify estimate accuracy and apply lessons learned to improve future estimates.
- Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and health and safety regulations in all estimates.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in estimation within relevant industries such as construction, engineering, or infrastructure.
- Proficient with estimating software tools including Conquest, Causeway, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and numerical aptitude.
- Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Competency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
