Job Overview
This role involves the hands-on erection and installation of elevator systems at project sites. The engineer will handle assembly and setup of key elevator components while collaborating with construction teams and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation of elevator parts including guide rails, elevator cars, machines, control panels, and doors at the site.
- Interpret and apply hoistway blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams accurately during installation.
- Liaise with civil and structural contractors to confirm the hoistway is prepared and suitable for installation activities.
- Conduct wiring tasks, precise alignment, and balance adjustments to the elevator system for optimal functioning.
- Execute thorough testing and pre-commissioning procedures before the elevator system is officially handed over.
- Maintain detailed logs and progress reports documenting installation stages and site activities.
- Ensure that all members of the erection team consistently use personal protective equipment and comply with prescribed safety measures.
- Communicate any technical challenges or deviations from design plans promptly to the Chief Engineer for resolution.
Qualifications and Requirements
