Entry-Level Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)

Role overview

Agatto Agricultura is hiring a remote, contract-based Entry-Level Data Analyst to support evidence-based decisions across agricultural operations. This role suits someone starting out in analytics who is eager to work with real-world data and build practical skills in a distributed team setting.

What you will do

• Gather data from different sources, prepare it for analysis, and keep datasets well structured.
• Clean, sort, and maintain data so it remains accurate and usable.
• Carry out basic analysis to spot trends, patterns, and unusual results.
• Build reports, dashboards, and visual summaries that help project leads and stakeholders understand findings.
• Document data workflows, methods, and analysis steps for future reference.
• Work with senior analysts and teams from other functions to support shared projects.
• Help improve overall data quality and respond to ad hoc analysis requests when needed.

What we are looking for

• Early-career analytical ability and a solid foundation in data analysis.
• Basic knowledge of statistics and how to apply it to practical datasets.
• Clear communication skills for sharing insights with different audiences.
• Understanding of data modelling concepts and an interest in structured data design.
• Comfort using spreadsheets and beginner-friendly data tools such as Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
• Careful attention to detail, a learning mindset, and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
• An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, or agriculture-related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Interest in agriculture, agribusiness, or environmental data is preferred.
