Role Overview
The Electrical and Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for keeping plant equipment and utilities running efficiently through planned upkeep, quick fault resolution, and close coordination with other teams. The position involves working on electrical systems, instrumentation, PLC-related tasks, and furnace maintenance to support smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical upkeep, planned preventive maintenance, plant maintenance, furnace-related maintenance, PLC programming support, and instrumentation work to keep equipment performing reliably.
- Inspect electrical networks, instruments, and machines on a routine basis to spot issues early and prevent larger failures.
- Diagnose electrical breakdowns and restore functionality using sound technical judgment and troubleshooting skills.
- Work with cross-functional teams to introduce preventive actions that reduce stoppages and improve operational efficiency.
- Keep clear and accurate documentation of repairs, parts or materials used, and testing outcomes.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in electrical engineering or a similar technical role.
- Solid grasp of electrical fundamentals, including power generation, distribution, control, and usage.
- Hands-on ability to perform routine maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of mechanical parts.
- Exposure to industrial automation systems, including PLC programming and instrumentation control.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability for plant and equipment issues.
Eligibility
Candidates with a Diploma in Electrical and relevant industry experience of 3 to 8 years are preferred for this role.
Additional Information
This position is based in Jhagadia, India. The compensation offered is in the range of INR 2,50,000 to INR 7,00,000 per year.
