Role Overview
The Editor will join WatchTime's New York team to craft compelling stories with a strong editorial voice centered on the luxury watch domain. This dynamic role involves multifaceted editorial tasks such as breaking industry news, conducting reviews, interviewing market leaders, on-camera presenting, and devising social media-centered content. The position spans multiple channels including digital, print, social media, video, and events, aiming to expand audience reach, deepen engagement, and reinforce the brand globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and publish distinctive, high-quality content across WatchTime’s print, digital, social, video, and event formats.
- Plan and implement timely, audience-focused content schedules for all platforms.
- Monitor global watch and luxury trends to spot news and storytelling openings.
- Contribute innovative ideas to support the brand's growth across media channels.
- Localize global content and generate original stories to boost readership and brand visibility.
- Meet deadlines while ensuring top-level accuracy and editing standards.
- Represent WatchTime at industry events, brand meetings, and company-sponsored occasions, including on-camera roles.
- Work collaboratively with editorial, event, and commercial teams to create integrated content projects.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of the luxury watch sector, key brands, products, and terminology.
- At least three years’ experience in editorial, digital publishing, social media, or video production, preferably with international media.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities adaptable to various formats.
- Good grasp of digital audience development and content analytics.
- Confident on-camera presenter with interviewing and hosting experience.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Team-oriented and proactive, comfortable collaborating across departments.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for modern, cross-platform media brand development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
- Fluent in English, with German or French as beneficial.
- Bonus: Photography and videography skills.
- Preference for candidates residing in the New York City metro area or Northeastern USA.
Reporting Structure
This role reports to the Global Editorial Director, with a secondary report line to the Operational Director of WatchTime U.S.
