Role Summary
The E-Commerce Executive will oversee and expand the company’s online sales channels by improving the customer journey, keeping product details accurate, coordinating order processing, and driving digital initiatives that lift online revenue. This position works closely with Sales, Marketing, IT, Customer Service, Finance, Stores, and Logistics to keep all e-commerce activities running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the daily running of the company’s e-commerce platform.
- Keep website content current, including product details, pricing, promotions, and stock information.
- Track website performance and escalate technical issues for prompt resolution.
- Oversee the timely processing and completion of online orders.
- Introduce initiatives that support online customer acquisition and repeat business.
- Review online sales results on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Spot ways to improve conversion rates and raise average order value.
- Suggest promotional ideas that can strengthen online revenue.
- Manage product uploads, including listings, descriptions, specifications, and images.
- Work with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams on new product introductions.
- Respond quickly to customer queries coming through the website, email, live chat, and social media.
- Handle complaints linked to online purchases and help resolve issues.
- Collect customer feedback and propose service enhancements.
- Support online marketing work with the Marketing team.
- Assist with email campaigns, social media promotions, and website-based campaigns.
- Review campaign outcomes and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with Stores and Logistics to maintain product availability.
- Monitor stock levels for items sold online.
- Ensure orders are dispatched and delivered on time.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policy.
- Track web traffic, buyer behaviour, and sales performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for the e-commerce function.
- Analyse key metrics and recommend actions to improve results.
- Observe competitor pricing and online activity.
- Keep up with e-commerce trends, tools, and best practices.
- Suggest improvements to website usability and the overall customer experience.
- Take part in digital transformation projects across the business.

Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Information Technology, Digital Marketing, or a similar field is required. Candidates should bring 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, online retail, or marketplace operations. Hands-on exposure to e-commerce platforms, online sales operations, digital merchandising, order fulfilment, and customer experience is expected. Experience in a fast-moving retail, distribution, manufacturing, or consumer goods environment with an established online sales channel will be an added advantage. The role also calls for practical experience using web analytics and reporting tools to assess e-commerce performance.
