Role Purpose
The Donor Development Manager will lead the implementation of Concern Worldwide's Republic of Ireland Supporter Marketing strategy aimed at sustaining and increasing income from individual cash and regular giving donors. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong expertise in direct marketing, individual fundraising, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute strategic projects aligned with key performance targets to support the annual Supporter Marketing operational plan, analyzing data trends and recommending marketing strategies.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to one Supporter Marketing Executive, managing daily tasks, performance reviews, and training.
- Manage and deliver end-to-end campaigns meeting deadlines, including agency briefings, material development, data selection, copywriting, approval processes, donor care coordination, analysis, budgeting, and invoice management.
- Drive supporter development initiatives to enhance retention and increase giving via channels such as direct mail, telemarketing, email, online marketing, and social platforms.
- Monitor budgets, contribute to revenue and expenditure forecasting, and collaborate within the Supporter Marketing team to achieve objectives.
- Partner with the Direct Marketing Data Analyst to evaluate campaigns and leverage insights for fundraising optimization.
- Ensure integration of campaigns thematically, creatively, or by audience to maximize effectiveness.
- Support the implementation and review of the Emergency Fundraising Strategy within the team.
- Train external agencies in representing Concern's mission and fundraising goals effectively.
- Coordinate with Corporate Major Donors, Donor Care, Communications, Overseas, Web, Active Citizenship, and other departments for unified messaging and collaboration.
- Carry out any other relevant project work as assigned.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years' experience in direct marketing.
- Degree or equivalent qualification, such as in marketing.
- Fundraising experience focused on donor development.
- Proven ability in managing direct mail and email campaigns.
- Experience supervising at least one team member.
- Strong analytical and numerical capabilities with experience in financial reporting and budget monitoring.
- Knowledge of direct marketing recruitment and development techniques, including cash appeals, tax campaigns, Christmas gifts, raffles, newsletters, displays, social media, press, and radio.
- Proficiency in using fundraising databases to analyze campaigns and donor trends.
- Experience collaborating with external suppliers to deliver successful marketing initiatives.
- Excellent project management and planning skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written abilities including fundraising copy creation and critique.
- Highly organized with experience managing multiple priorities and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with GDPR regulations.
Terms & Conditions
- Full-time, fixed-term contract for 1 year, covering maternity leave.
- Location: Dublin with a hybrid work model (approximately 50% remote).
- Salary range: GB6 (€57,683 - €64,092).
