About the Role

This position sits within the Global Sales organization in Solution Area Business & Operations Support Systems (SBOS). It acts as a key link with Market Areas throughout the sales process, owning the creation, qualification, and leadership of high-value technical and commercial opportunities. The role also carries responsibility for commercial approval of technically complex proposals and any offers that fall outside the Ericsson Business Delegation (EBD) framework.

The main objective is to support business expansion by driving development activity, providing technical guidance, and converting global initiatives into actionable support for Market Area and Customer Unit stakeholders, all with a focus on sales performance and growth.

What You Will Do

  • Own sales targets for the assigned business area, especially Data & AI, across specific Market Area/Customer Unit and/or solution portfolios, while delivering measurable value for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop trusted relationships with external partners and customers as well as internal teams across Customer Units, Market Areas, and Business Areas, and use those relationships to shape business development plans and a healthy sales funnel.
  • Progress pipeline opportunities by continuously refining winning strategies, sharpening the value message, and differentiating offerings to improve close rates.
  • Create business and technology value propositions aligned to customer use cases, transformation priorities, and market/competitor direction, and use demonstrations to strengthen the case for adoption.
  • Coordinate closely between MA/CU sales teams and SBOS portfolio/service teams on roadmap alignment, solution scope, costing, technology developments, and related concerns.
  • Contribute to opportunity qualification by helping define the right approach and target solution within the customer’s needs and budget, while also supporting the customer journey and break-in scenarios with technical expertise.
  • Lead solution offerings in line with internal processes, promote reuse of assets to reduce OPEX, and improve offer quality through innovation and stronger value creation.
  • Support Business Partner and Commercial Management teams in shaping the best commercial strategy for each opportunity.
  • Take part in sales readiness efforts and other improvement initiatives aligned with the offerings provided to Market Areas.

What You Bring

  • A university degree, or equivalent practical experience, in Engineering, ICT, or a related field; a Master’s degree, or equivalent experience, is considered an advantage.
  • More than 10 years of experience in presales, sales support, or similar roles within BSS and OSS, whether internally or externally.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading sales engagements in mediation, analytics, probing, or AI/GenAI domains.
  • Strong exposure to senior executive stakeholders, with proven ability in communication, presentations, influence, and value proposition development.
  • Solid technical understanding in at least one solution area such as mediation, analytics, or AI/GenAI, plus familiarity with Ericsson solutions and architecture evolution scenarios.
  • Awareness of market and technology shifts, including 5G/6G, API monetization ecosystems, cloud transformation, microservices architecture, and AI/ML.
  • Strong commercial judgment and customer-handling skills, along with excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
  • A proven leadership record, including personal development progress, and the ability to coordinate diverse, distributed, and multicultural teams in a matrix environment.
  • A strong drive to achieve outcomes, close deals, remove blockers, and make sound decisions through strategic, creative, and consultative selling approaches.
  • High ownership, strong autonomy, effective time management, and the ability to manage a broad scope of responsibilities.
  • Comfort working in uncertain and changing environments with a high degree of agility.
  • Good understanding of contract/commercial management, sales processes, and financial concepts that support decision-making.
