About the Role
Join us at VBK Lengerich as a Disponent (m/w/d) playing a crucial part in ensuring smooth daily operations within our transport services. Your position will be evenly split between managing dispatch and active driving duties. We serve the Münsterland area, safely transporting passengers day after day, and we want to empower you to fully develop your professional skills and career trajectory with our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily dispatch operations including allocating driving staff and vehicles during operational disruptions.
- Initiate corrective actions when service interruptions occur and coordinate with traffic authorities, police, and emergency services as needed.
- Oversee provisioning of work clothing for driving personnel and organize cross-traffic-area operational processes.
- Monitor adherence to company regulations and instructions by the driving personnel at the depot.
- Identify and handle school transport services and assist with accounting processes related to contractors and exempted transport services.
- Spend the remaining work time engaged in driving duties, ensuring excellent customer service and passenger satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Completed vocational training, ideally as a specialist in transportation operations or an equivalent qualification with relevant dispatch experience.
- Experience in administrative or commercial functions is beneficial; strong proficiency with MS Office applications is expected.
- Good understanding of social regulations applicable to driving staff and thorough knowledge of the Lengerich traffic region.
- Self-reliant, cooperative, and assertive personality traits; possession of a Class D/DE driving license, or willingness to obtain it through our support.
