Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to oversee and coordinate the daily dispatch of finished products to customers and distribution centers in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves efficient scheduling, vehicle assignment, and collaboration across multiple departments to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Primary Duties

• Develop, schedule, and manage daily dispatch plans, assigning vehicles and drivers optimally based on delivery priority and best routes.
• Work closely with Warehouse, Production, Sales, and Customer Service teams to align dispatch activities with operational requirements.
• Monitor vehicle movements through GPS or fleet management tools, managing loading/unloading and maximizing vehicle utilization to reduce costs.
• Prepare and validate all necessary dispatch-related documentation such as delivery notes, invoices, packing lists, gate passes, shipping papers, and material transfer notes, ensuring adherence to company and Saudi transport regulations.
• Coordinate proper inventory handling, verify shipments against sales orders, and enforce FIFO/FEFO inventory principles, promptly reporting any shortages or damaged goods.
• Communicate delivery schedules and handle customer inquiries, addressing special delivery needs and resolving related issues swiftly.
• Supervise fleet availability and scheduling, track fuel usage and maintenance, quickly responding to vehicle breakdowns and ensuring vehicle compliance and roadworthiness.
• Compile daily dispatch, vehicle utilization, and delivery performance reports, monitoring on-time delivery indicators and recommending operational improvements.
• Maintain safety standards by ensuring proper loading, vehicle weight compliance, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies among drivers and staff.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Three to five years of professional experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or warehouse functions within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabia's transportation regulations is advantageous.
