Job Overview
This position involves keeping the kitchen area clean and sanitized to ensure a positive dining environment for all guests at Oceans 234.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand or using the dishwasher.
- Ensure all utensils and dishes are properly sanitized and spotless.
- Organize and stack clean kitchenware into designated storage locations.
- Support the management of kitchen supplies and equipment by assisting with organization and stocking.
- Regularly empty trash and recycling containers while maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
- Sanitize kitchen surfaces including countertops, sinks, and cooking equipment.
- Help with simple food prep tasks, like peeling and cutting vegetables.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic workspace.
- Work cooperatively with kitchen personnel to maintain operational efficiency.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the kitchen manager.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong focus on detail, cleanliness, and orderliness.
- Ability to work harmoniously in a team setting with kitchen staff.
- Good physical endurance, including standing for lengthy periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Minimum age requirement: 16 years.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand during long shifts.
