Director, Operational Excellence

About the Role

August Bioservices is looking for a highly organized and system-focused leader to initiate and oversee the company's continuous improvement program. This role plays a key part in boosting both operational efficiency and regulatory compliance within a fast-growing sterile injectable manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Director will act as the central coordinator among departments including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Planning, Training, Technical Operations, and Maintenance, ensuring all manufacturing execution activities are synchronized, transparent, and delivered on schedule. Additionally, the leader will supervise continuous improvement efforts applying methodologies like 5S, Kaizen, Gemba walks, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.

This position will also develop and implement operational management rhythms, readiness oversight, escalation protocols, and performance tracking to enhance execution reliability and scalable operational success across the organization. While not directly managing manufacturing teams, the role is responsible for advancing continuous improvement, organizational preparedness, execution coordination, dependency tracking, and enforcing operational accountability cross-functionally.

Reporting and Collaboration

This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborates closely with executive leadership company-wide.
